Description
Pseudorhipsalis ramulosa is known by many names. It is often mistakenly sold as Rhipsalis ramulosa , Disocactus ramulosus , or Rhipsalis heteroclada . It is sometimes also called the "coral cactus".
This beautiful leaf cactus has a large distribution area from southern Mexico to Bolivia.
It produces two different types of shoots. The main shoots are thin, round at the base, and up to 70 cm long. Towards the tip, they become wider and flatter. From these, side shoots grow that reach approximately 20 cm in length and are broad and flat along their entire length. In sufficient light, the entire cactus turns a beautiful red, which contrasts with the white flowers and berries.
In nature, this cactus grows epiphytically, meaning it grows on and around trees in tropical forests. These areas have a humid and warm climate.
Since the coloration depends heavily on the light, it is possible that not all of our specimens are as red as in the pictures.
You will receive a plant in a 14cm hanging pot with shoots approximately 30 to 40cm long.
