Description
Flat and sturdy coconut fiber pole. 22cm high, 8cm wide with an 8cm insertion aid. Not extendable.
For small, low-growing climbing plants, which are usually kept in terrariums, especially small climbing Ficus , Marcgravia , Rhaphidophora , Mini Philodendron , Selaginella , climbing Begonias (e.g., lichenora, sp. Sarawak), ferns such as Pyrrosia , Selliguea , Microgramma and many other climbing mini plants!
Until now, there hasn't been a really good way to attractively display these types of plants in pots. Either you tried tying them to small wooden boards (which doesn't work well, as the wood rots) or you built your own mini trellises from chicken wire and sphagnum moss (which is time-consuming, and sphagnum often stays too wet). This annoyed us so much that we developed these flat coconut fiber rods. They fit perfectly into one of our 9cm square pots and, of course, into all other pots with a diameter of 9cm or more. They remain stable even in very humid terrariums or plant displays, but they aren't as wet as sphagnum moss (many of these small climbing plants prefer a consistently slightly moist substrate).
There are certainly many other creative ways to use these flat rods or boards.
