Terrarium background - dark tree bark (60x30cm)

This background with a tree bark look is a novelty on the European market and gives your terrarium an absolutely natural look that differs significantly from the usual cork look!

The back of the back panel is made of pressed cork, which allows for easy processing and gluing. The dark tree bark is applied to this pressed cork using a high-pressure steam process (i.e., without glue). The bond is extremely strong and will not come loose even after years.

These backgrounds are the perfect choice for anyone wanting to create a terrarium with a look that doesn't have the usual cork appearance. We recommend these backgrounds for tropical terrariums for reptiles and many amphibians. However, they should not be used in very humid terrariums or paludariums, as the pressed cork backing will deteriorate after 2 to 3 years due to the constant moisture. In normal, tropical terrariums, the backgrounds last significantly longer (we tested this ourselves by submerging them underwater for several weeks – they swelled slightly but did not disintegrate!).
