Houseplant mix - 7.5L/70L

Houseplant mix based on coconut, pre-washed, low-germ. Suitable for all common tropical houseplants.

Coconut remains stable and airy for years without decomposing and is and remains chemically neutral. It stores water well, but is also very permeable, guaranteeing perfect drainage.

Our houseplant mix is also suitable as a basic component for your own substrate mixes, should further, special additives be required.

The houseplant mix, just like our other coconut-based substrates, is already washed and therefore free of salts. It can therefore be used directly without having to be elaborately washed. According to our tests, it has a conductivity of less than 200µS/cm during the first watering. After two to three waterings, the conductivity is < 100µS/cm. It can therefore also be used without hesitation for very sensitive plants.

We have already tested this mix ourselves (with very good results!) on: Monstera, Philodendron, Scindapsus, Schismatoglottis, Syngonium, Calathea, Ctenanthe, various ferns (e.g. Asplenium, Blechnum, Doryopteris, Nephrolepis), Fittonia, Pilea, Peperomia & a few others. For plants with coarser roots (e.g. some sensitive Alocasia and Philodendron) and epiphytes (orchids, most Anthurium), however, we would recommend our Aroid Mix or pure Coconut Chips!
