Description
This full-spectrum grow light acts as a powerful spotlight with a 60° beam angle - ideal for indoor plant areas, grow tents, tall terrariums and much more.
Only highly efficient diodes are used, resulting in a luminous flux of 4200 lumens or 63 μmol/s with a power consumption of only 30W . This corresponds to 140 lm/W or 170% of the luminous efficacy of conventional diodes, including power supply and red components! The PPE value of the light source is 2.1 μmol/s/W .
You can read about which grow light is right for which application in our comparison blog .
Another advantage of the high efficiency is the low heat output , which is quickly dissipated via the heavy, powder-coated aluminum housing. This results in a significantly longer lifespan compared to lamps that operate at high temperatures. The grow light can also be placed directly on glass surfaces (e.g., on a terrarium) without any concerns. The lamp's flat base allows for this.
The focused light from this spotlight has a greater depth effect than, for example, linear lights like our Jungle Lux Linear . Therefore, the spotlight should be positioned at a slightly greater minimum distance from sensitive plants. It is ideal for illuminating taller terrariums/paludariums, plant display cases, or plants standing freely in the room.
By combining 5000K (cool white) diodes with a novel 430 nm chip, 3500K (warm white) diodes with a classic 450 nm chip, and 660 nm (red) diodes, we achieve not only an optimal spectrum for plant growth but also a pleasant, neutral white light color with a very high color rendering index ( CRI ~90 ). Thanks to the flattened plateau in the blue range (double peak), this radiation is more readily available to plants at the same intensity, and colors appear more natural. It also combines very well with our equally neutral white Jungle Lux Linear plant lamps in a tube shape.
In addition to these diodes, which emit visible light, so-called " far-red " infrared diodes with a wavelength of 730 nm are also installed. These produce light in the near-infrared spectrum, which is invisible to humans but stimulates important physiological processes in plants. These wavelengths are particularly important for leaf coloration in the often beautifully patterned plants of the undergrowth and lead to an increase in biomass in many plants, which in turn allows them to capture more light (see, for example, Wenqing et al. 2021 ).
Anyone who wants to learn more about the correct lighting for houseplants can read our detailed blog on the subject.
For cannabis, we only recommend this wattage during the growing phase; for permanent lighting, the stronger 50W version or, better yet, the 80W version are suitable.
The lamp is supplied ready for connection, including a 1.8 m cable. Please note: If the lamp continues to glow faintly after being switched off, the plug should be rotated 180° in the socket.
The beam angle of 60° can be changed to 90° or 120° using our interchangeable lenses .
