Jungle Lux Mini - 2W

This small, flat, modular, full-spectrum grow light in an octagon shape is specially designed for small plant and animal terrariums, bottle gardens, plant display cases, and all applications where you need to work in a confined space! Despite its small size, it's a true grow light for plants, offering high efficiency, our proven spectrum with far red, extra red, double blue peak, and a high color rendering index (CRI) of 90!

Each module has a power output of 2 W, measures 5 x 5 cm, and is only 6 mm high! They can be mounted in various ways. Screws and adhesive pads are included!

Which grow light is right for which application can be found in our comparison blog . The beam angle is 120°. Those who want to illuminate plants at a greater distance should opt for the Jungle Lux Linear Lens with 60°, the Jungle Lux Spot with 38° or 30°, or the Jungle Lux Highlight with 60°.

The modules are available in two different color temperatures: 4000K and 7000K . The 4000K version has the same pleasant, neutral white light as our other Jungle Lux lamps. The 7000K version has a cooler light that particularly emphasizes green and blue tones. Comparison images in the gallery show the color appearance under each module. Up to 10 modules can be operated per power supply, and of course, both versions can be used with the same power supply.

The system efficiency is lower than in our larger Jungle Lux models due to the external power supply, at approximately 110 lm/W including the power supply and red components. This corresponds to about 130% of the light output of conventional LEDs. Each circuit board has its own constant current source to maximize performance. Thanks to the high efficiency, very little waste heat is produced. As a result, the circuit boards remain cool, and the LEDs last significantly longer than conventional LEDs!

In addition to the diodes that emit visible light, so-called " far-red " infrared diodes with a wavelength of 730 nm are also integrated (absolutely unique in this price segment!). These produce light in the near-infrared spectrum, which is invisible to humans but stimulates important physiological processes in plants. These wavelengths are particularly important for leaf coloration in the often beautifully patterned plants of the undergrowth and lead to an increase in biomass in many plants, which in turn allows them to capture more light (see, for example, Wenqing et al. 2021 ).

The power supply kit can be purchased separately without lights, directly with lights, or the lights can be purchased as an extension set without a power supply.
